Hope

Wenhaston artist, Nina Saunders, approached Blyth Woods with the idea of installing a piece of environmental art in Grove Woods. Members of the steering group joined Nina to decide where the installation should be and the size and materials to be used. Then we met again to select dead wood, cut it to size and to place in position, with minimal disturbance to the wood but with easy viewing for people passing through to consider the significance of ‘Hope’ to them. The aspects of hope we each think of may vary but it might be interesting to know the common areas of concern which we all feel are important.

The installation is a piece of environmental art which will be subjected to the elements and therefore it will change over time.

We Hope it adds to your visit to the wood.
